Hey everyone. Thanks for stopping by my page and taking interest in my thoughts and experiences. My classmates, from Franklin Pierce and Wartburg, and I have been traveling across Iowa and New Hampshire for the past couple weeks with the hope to gain a better understanding of the Presidential election process. The traveling experience has allowed us to battle out our ideas and gain new perspectives. The social aspect of our group dynamics is one that could be a great indicator of the current generation of college students.

The First in the Nation Scholars have come from different political backgrounds. We differ in beliefs based on location, political alliances, and personal experiences. This has led us to form a plethera of conflicting ideas. However, we have been able to respectfully discuss our diverse political thoughts without getting into heated arguments. If someone were to sit in on one of our discussions they would be amazed by how relaxed and comfortable we are in sharing our ideas. Especially considering the fact most of our ideas strongly disagree with those of another in the group. I believe we agree for the most part that change needs to occur and that our generation should have a hand in achieving positive change in our country.
